Install Plugin di Wordpress

Seperti sudah dijodohkan, Plugins adalah soulmate dari WordPress, namun Plugins yang seabrek bisa di download dari wp-plugins.net atau situs-situs penyedia plugins WP lainnya, hanya bisa diinstal apabila kita menggunakan domain dan hosting sendiri. Dengan kata lain, pengguna WordPress.com hanya bisa puas dengan beberapa Plugins standar yang disediakan. Contohnya yang paling menarik buat saya karena bisa mengekspresikan kalimat dalam postingan kita dan ternyata bikinan orang Indonesia asli, yaitu Yahoo/MSN Smiley, di WordPress.com juga ada sih tapi hanya beberapa icon saja seperti :-??

Cara Install Plugins sebenarnya sudah pasti dijelaskan oleh author-nya di situsnya masing-masing atau di dalam file readme.txt yang biasanya ada dalam script yang kita dowload, karena daftar plugins yang ada di wp-plugins.net adalah berdasarkan kontribusi dari para WordPresser, dan cara instalnya juga berbeda-beda.

Yang standar adalah, download script plugins yang dikehendaki dari wp-plugins.net, jika berbentuk .zip extract dahulu kemudian upload file tersebut ke server dimana script WP berada, di dalam directory wp-content/plugins. Setelah diupload, login ke wp-admin dan pilih menu Plugins, jika sudah ter-upload dengan baik dan sesuai dengan cara instal yang diberikan authornya, nama Plugins tersebut akan tampak di tabel Plugins Management, kemudian Aktifkan Plugins tersebut dengan meng-klik link Activate yang ada di tabel Plugins Management. Untuk membatalkannya cukup klik link Deactivate, tidak perlu menghapus files tersebut dari server.

Untuk beberapa Plugins, seperti misalnya Fuzzy Recent Post, ada kode

yang harus ditaruh di file semacam sidebar.php, agar Recent Posts yang telah kita publish bisa tampak di bagian tersebut nantinya. Untuk hal ini, pilih menu Presentation>>Themes Editor dan lihat cara edit files dari dalam dashboard

Change Wodpress Domain

if we hav ewordpress with the default domain in wordpress,we can change our domain.

wordpress can not identify this domain because the changes are in the domain during install recognize already stored in the database, so we need to change the database so that the new domain can connect to wordpress.

How To back Up Wordpress

Create peer to peer wireless network

To create a peer-to-peer wireless Ethernet network in Windows XP:

1. Click Start, then click Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens. If your Control Panel is in Category View, click Network and Internet Connections. The Network and Internet Connections window opens.

Seeting Intel Wireless in Fedora

Exciting for us that have Notebook / Network Card WiFi berchipset Intel PRO / Wireless 3945ABG that this driver is available in Fedora Media Installer release 8 and 9.
